One of the most frequent questions that brings visitors to 17th Street is whether The Alienist will ever be made into a movie. To help address this question, I’ve now added a page detailing the long and complicated history of The Alienist movie as best as I have been able to make it out on the basis of past interviews with the author. Any info on the (mid-90s) ALIENIST screenplay?
The Write to Reel forums had a copy of the screenplay the last time I looked. You should be able to find it here, but you will need to become a member of the forum to access the post. If you do manage to download it, prepare yourself – it really was terrible!
